- We had new floors installed on the ground floor and second floor
- Laminate on the ground floor
- Fancy carpet on the second floor
- We went home for Christmas and saw both our families for FAR too short of a time
- We've since decided that we will be driving back to Tejas next year with our
monster beastsdear pooches in tow (any suggestions on where to stop?) - We have received ZERO snow this winter (I'm hoping that by writing about the lack of snow, we are then pelted with some significant snow accumulations)
- I'm planning to paint our second floor a color that goes with chocolate brown and sky blue....any suggestions?
- I need help decorating our walls....it needs to feel more homey and I have no idea how to do it...I need a shopping buddy (any volunteers? Buhler? Buhler? Buhler?)
- Our awesome contractor neighbor finished our guest bathroom for us (YAY) and it looks completely AMAZING!
- The Hubs is taking two graduate school courses this semester (prayers for encouragement and endurance are appreciated....for both of us)
- My oldest seester and I have booked a NASCAR adventure to DRIVE stock cars around the Richmond International Raceway this summer (AND WE ARE BOTH TOTALLY PSYCHED ABOUT DOING SO)
- The Hubs and I both have a pair of Five Fingers
- I'm running out of things, but I know there is much more...
- Stay tuned to more from your favorite Misplaced Texans

Hmmm....
So many different things have happened since my last post...forever and a day ago. I'm sorry I've been MIA lately, I will do better. I love blogging and I especially love reading other people's blogs. I have a ton of photographs to edit, send out to family/friends, and post on here. I hope I'll be able to do that this weekend since I'm planning on hibernating all weekend because of the arctic temperatures. I have dinner plans tonight with some sweet girlfriends, I know we will have a great time together talking and catching up. So, in order to tide yall (the imaginary "yall" I've created who I think actually read this, which is more like no one other than my sweet mother) over until I get this updated for reals, here are some things that have been going on in the Benavides' abode (my friends from way back, you know as in middle school and high school, will appreciate that abode reference).

So good to know you are back in the saddle- more than your sweet mother like to know what you are up to :)
I want to hibernate too- but that's not so likely for me either.
I suggest pain samples that you can pain on large poster board and them stick them up on the walls, or if you are braver than me- paint sample squares on the walls- no matter what- paint on the walls looks a little different than the swatches. It's important to see how a color looks on your own walls in your light, with your flooring etc. Happy Painting!
That is a great idea Melanie! I'll have to try that out in our living room. :)
I'm glad to see you back at it again too, though I have no idea what book you are reading as the title was SO CONFUSING! haha!
I hope yall are well, and not too stressed out!
I want some of those shoes SO BAD! Do you love them? How did you pick out the ones you got? Becca and I want to start training for a Tough Mudder, and those seem like they'd be good for that type of race.
So, where are those pictures you were going to post and work on while you were hibernating? Buhler? Buhler?
